I bought this for a birthday surprise for my hubby and I really wanted for it to be assembled, but that was not an option. So I had to tackle the assembly by myself. I will admit that it took me many hours to put together, but I was able to do it by myself. For the record, some of the pieces are heavy and two people working together in my opinion would be the way to go. But I felt very accomplished knowing I truely was able to give my husband a gift, an assembled grill. The best part about this grill is the option to hook up to our gas line to the house. No more propane tanks for us! We love it. We actually grill way more than we ever have due to the ease of it all.The downside to this is the manufacturers customer service. It was horrible. Once we connected the grill to the house and started her up, the grill became a furnace that sounds like a jet plane. It heated up so fast that we knew something was wrong. My husband called customer support and they basically told him he was an idiot. The grill NEEDS a regulator to control the gas intake. My husband ended up talking to multiple people that work in the gas industry and we bought a regulator and installed it and she works like a charm. JUST DON’T EXPECT ANY HELP FROM WEBER CUSTOMER SERVICE!We do love the grill.

For years I had a grill that I converted from propane to natural gas. Even though I bout the correct kit the flames were always too high and I burned food. This grill solves that and more. Like my old grill meat still cooks a little faster in the back than the front. However, this grill cooks different kinds of meat perfectly. I was concerned at first because even on the lowest flame settings the temp gauge read 350+. I was pleasantly surprised how well everything turned out. Can barely see any flame even though it warms quickly and quite well. Will never go back to propane! The other huge bonus is the thick cast base. Other grills have thin sheet metal that corrodes and rusts quickly. The drip pan is superior to any other grill I have had. I especially like the fact that the left side shelf can collapse. My one complaint is that because the left shelf can collapse and you need to lift that part to roll the grill, the shelf can easily come loose and collapse when trying to roll it. Otherwise well worth the money after years of using cheaper grills.

I got the natural gas version. It came with the gas hose pre-attached to the main unit. It also came with the quick disconnect connector (3/8”) that the plumber can install for you at your gas supply. I had the plumber install a shutoff valve at my supply as well as a 3/4” to 3/8” adapter as my pipe is 3/4” and needed to be reduced to 3/8”. At the end of that goes the quick disconnect adapter. If you have an option to get natural gas vs LP, spend the extra money to fit your gas supply with the disconnect (about $175). The independence from that propane tank is worth it. No more worrying about whether you have enough propane left in the tank and no more propane tank refill runs. The Spirit II e-310 natural gas grill is excellent. Easy to assemble, high quality construction, gets hot fast, and lots of cooking surface for my needs (family of 3 and occasional small get together of 6-8 people). Looks great as well. This product from Weber provides excellent value for the money and I highly recommend it.

So, assembly did take about 2 hours, but anyone that is handy with some basic tools can put this together pretty easily. You only need 2 tools : a 7/16″ wrench and a # 3 phillips-head screwdriver. I would recommend to use a ratchet wrench or a socket wrench with a 7/16″ driver. Be sure to get a service valve at point of use where your grill connects to the natural gas line. Just like with propane tanks for safety I always turn the supply valve off when I’m done cooking. I’ve made a few steaks on this and I feel like it takes a bit longer than propane , but I like the three burner control to adjust the heat. I would recommend getting a griddle or something to make eggs/pancakes on. Overall I’m very happy with this grill and would gladly recommend it. I also don’t have to buy any more propane tanks which is a huge pro for this unit. After having this for over a year now, I still would easily buy this grill again. I cook pizzas on this now [ I would recommend a high grade pizza stone ]; I make my breakfast on it like 2-3 times a week [ Bacon / Eggs / Sausages & toast even ]; and you can use it like an oven and just heat up the grill to the right temp range. I’ve re-heated frozen lasagna , and made chicken enchiladas on it [ Use a broiler pan under the pyrex dishware. ]. Also , with natural gas prices in Arizona, this only adds about an extra $4.00 in natural gas charges per month to use it 4-5x a week. I would recommend to disassemble it once per year to power wash everything down and clean it up. Solid little BBQ.

I held off reviewing this product until we had some cook time on it, and wow, does this baby cook. Assembly was straightforward for me, but might intimidate a rookie with a screwdriver. The instructions and the parts organization was outstanding. Part counts were correct at all stages, and the quality of the fasteners was very high (both of these are something I check, and it is a pet peeve of mine when things are messed up). On to cooking … Weber brags on their 4-steps to successful grilling, and they deliver. The ignition system is first-rate, and the flame distribution efficiently delivers the initial burner flame to the other 2 burners. The grease control system is excellent as well. The only minor complaint here is that the raccoons can easily dislodge that dinky little tray that the drip pan sits in. I know because our neighbor called the police thinking someone was putting an aluminum ladder up the side of my house with all the noise the raccoon made licking things clean. I added my own SS keeper bars, and all is well in The Land. Love the grill, and we grill 2-3 times a week all year in Cleveland OH, rain, shine or snow. So after 40 years or so, I know what makes a grill great, and Weber made it in spades.

The first time I called Weber on Thursday of this week it took twelve minutes to have a rep answer my call. Then, the call was dropped so I went to Weber.com to complete my warrantly claim.I was asked by message to use the electronic assistant so I submitted the information requested by message, but when I typed in the Weber grill serial number, the electronic assistant said that the serial number I submitted did not exist. I had several people look at the serial number, and write it down, but they all wrote the same serial number, so I hung up.Today, Sunday, I called the 800-number supplied in my installation manual–that contains very few instructions in print, and told the agent about my miserable experience with the electronic agent at Weber.com the past Thursday. The agent was from Columbia and spoke perfect English, and I told him so, which is not the norm for out-of-country calls for technical assistance. He immediatly asked me to send him photo attachments of the broken parts, after he asked for my address here in the U.S. to register my grill. My model is a Weber Spirit II – E310 NG e-burner black grill. He now had my correct address to send the warranty parts.I then sent 2 photos that I attached to the return email reply to this agent, and when he got the photos, he said to me by telephone, “OK, I know the parts you need and will put in an order to Weber to send the broken parts to you as a warranty claim as soon as possible.”I was amazed at his overall efficiency, command of the English language, and how fast this claim was completed.

The main issue is its 1/3 of the cooking area as described. I would have bought a bigger one if I knew thatGot the free installation with the purchase saved me 2 plus hours of assembly. Cooks evenly. But on the small side good for 4 people meals qqqq

Very well reviewed and I can see why. Yes, more than your knockoff that’ll rust in a year. But quality is worth it without going insane like grills can. I have a natural gas hookup on my house and I wanted a grill. Pay attention carefully when assembling. When it says leave some screws out, do it! I had to do a bit of disassembly when attaching the front panel. The included quick disconnect fitting is 3/8″ and natural gas hookups tend to be 1/2″, it seems. You’ll need black pipe fittings, pipe wrenches, and pipe dope. The hardware store didn’t have everything exactly but there are tons of fittings in a wild variety of materials to be found online. Black pipe. Not galvanized. Paint it to stop rust.Natural gas has a lower BTU content than propane but it gets hot. During the initial full blast burn in as the directions stipulated, it got well over 600. Seared the tomahawk steak I used to christen it to perfection. The gas hose could be longer but it’s enough. Started right up with the powered ignition. Big wheels rolled over the gravel to my garage easy. Get a cheap cover, a good stainless brush, and some good tools and you’re off to the races.
