Replaced my Lynx 30″ grill with the Lion 32″ natural gas grill. This is the best grill I have ever owned, and I have owned the Lynx, Firemagic and Weber Genesis. First of all, the quality of this grill is outstanding, it is truly substantial. The sheet metal feels really solid and the craftsmanship is equal to and surpasses the higher end grills. One of the top considerations for me was total cost of ownership. Replacement parts for this grill are typically 1/2 or 1/3 of the major brands. So far it has required very little maintenance. It cooks Filet Mignon better than the Lynx and faster too. Chicken also comes out more evenly cooked, more juicy and tasty. Temperature is different with each grill and with the Lion I have had to experiment to understand the settings. I have found that once you experiment, you will find that you can get the grill to hold virtually any temperature. I can run the rotisserie at 375F steady which is perfect for cooking whole chickens. Overall this is a great grill for the price.Update April 2016:I have had this grill for over a year now and it is holding up very well. I probably grill about 4 nights a week and everything with the grill is still working well. It has probably cooked over 1000 meals by now. I noticed some people complain about excess heat from the knobs or grill. All I have to say is that I have NEVER experienced any issue with heat. As a matter of fact, when running at 500F it is still pretty cool on the knobs and the area around the knobs. I don’t worry about my 2 and 3 year old children playing in the backyard when the grill is running. Not sure what problem other people are complaining about. My grill is floating over an open space that it sits into, so maybe that makes a difference.I have grilled shrimp to perfection on this grill and fish come out perfect. It is good at controlling heat so even pizza on a stone works well. As I said before, it is the best grill I have ever owned. I would recommend anyone to buy this grill, it is quality for the price.Update August 2016:Still using the grill almost every day. One thing I failed to mention before is that it is very easy to clean this grill since everything dumps directly into the pull out tray. Some of the other grills I have owned are a pain in this area. I did experience a problem one day though and one of the knobs became so hot that i burned myself. It is strange because something goes wrong with the ignition and it must have heated the knob assembly. It only happened once and has been described by other reviewers. I love the grill though, all things considered and would buy it again if it needs replacement.

Absolutely awesome grill, cutout dimensions were correct, this grill is top notch, everything is built very well, I am a machinist/fabricator by trade so the construction was superb, built with the user in mind, and built to last. I am totally pleased with the purchase, I believe that you will be also. I also purchased the single burner cook top from Lion & I am pleased with it as well although the cut out dimensions were not correct should be a bit larger to accommodate the taper that is caused in the manufacturing process but, the cook top is well built and totally functional as well. Lion makes quality from my experience.

This grill is simply amazing. I researched many options and after reading other’s reviews I chose the Lion. I’m sure glad I did. The price is better than the other options and the grill is flawless. It comes with a nice assortment of accessories and it is very well made. It is very heavy so invite friends over to help install it. In no way do I regret buying the Lion grill and I am confident you’ll be glad if you select one too.

I ordered this grill as a replacement and I needed it quickly for AC event we were hosting. The folks at Best of Backyard were great. I had called them earlier and they answered my questions quickly and accurately. The delivery was super fast, 2 days, and they followed up to see how things went. Highly recommend the product and the people. Well done!

I recently replaced my Fire Magic BBQ that I had for several years. I researched BBQ’s and came across the Lion Built in BBQ. I had some questions regarding my delivery and this company has excellent customer service and took care of my concern asap. The BBQ was a little difficult to put in, but ONLY because we built the built in BBQ around my older Fire Magic BBQ. This was not anything major though. The built in light is such a plus and the grill works great. I am not used to it yet since it cooks so fast and also cooks so even. You cant go wrong with the price. My Fire Magic was so expensive yet I believe the Lyon Grill is much better and comes with so many extras that I would not have thought of. Once it was installed it lit up like a champ. We did not have any problems at all. You wont be disappointed with this BBQ.

We’ve had this grill now for 8 years and wow, I’m really impressed. I just finished taking it apart to clean and there’s literally no degradation in the materials after eight years of use. I clean it about once a year. We cook a lot of burgers around the Fourth of July and the grease catcher drawer does a nice job of managing the slop. Super heavy-duty construction. We never hooked up the light, and have never use the rotisserie, so I can’t speak to that, but in terms of the quality of materials I would buy this over and over again. I would recommend this grill to anyone/everyone.

My husband loves his new outdoor built-in Lion BBQ grill! There was a minor problem with the regulator at first, but we contacted Lion directly and they sent a replacement part within a few days. That solved the problem. The only thing we would have wished for is that he rotisserie rod had a screw-on wooden handle like our old one did. Would make for easier handling. The lights in the unit are great. We definitely splurged on this outdoor set-up which was built into an existing chimney, but we’re going to love our outdoor summer cooking in beautiful San Diego … and never having to worry about running out of propane.

The additional parts that come standard with this grill are much appreciated and useful. What blew me away was the quality. This is one solid grill that is better than I had hoped when reviewing the specs online. Pay attention to the weight, as I needed to remove all loose parts in order to lift the grill into the cabinet. Be certain your insert cabinet is capable of holding up the weight.
