Bought it this summer. Has been a great grill so far. The infrared glass grates are awesome. Never have the cold spots. And I don’t think it takes any longer to heat up than regular open rung grates. Gets nice and hot. Doesn’t overuse propane. Quality of the steaks, burgers, chicken, sausages, veggies, etc has been delicious.Cleaning is a pain. Very difficult to find an appropriate size/style of cleaning brush. Cleaning the bottom below the burners is tricky. but the pan below the main burner section is only possible to clean if you unscrew half the grill. Really weird. Assembly was good overall, but it depends on your level of handy. For the money, it’s a quality grill and I’m glad I have one.

This grill took our amateur enthusiast grilling to a new level. The unique grill surface allows grilling of vegetables and meat with even heat for that great char look and flavor without drying out the food. Flare-ups are way down and the food is protected. We noticed the flavor and quality improvement over open grills right away.It has three sections, plus a fast lighting burner. It does consume the gas so be aware; but you get great control of the surfaces. We look forward to using it as a smoker by putting a cast iron griddle on the grill plus using wood chips. The cleaning process is fairly easy with the included tool, some soaking if you prefer and some care. Any charred remains stay on the grill sections and out of the cooking bed, so it does not build up with debris.Check out the design and the price and you will see this is a great value. It looks sharp and it offers many cooking options for what could easily be a higher priced unit.

Needed to replace 12 year old rusty grill (Gulf Coast cancer) so I did the research & pricing. TRU-Infrared is awesome. Arrived fast in time for Memorial Day. Assembly was quick & easy which I didn’t expected. I do not have a problem with not having an enclosed lower area on this less expensive model (paid $260). So far this have been a pleasure to grill with. Steaks, salmon, mahi mahi, burgers, brats, baby back ribs (4 racks on right 2 burners & 8 burgers on left burner and pineapple wedges on top grid with no problems controlling the heat). I’m sold on infrared technology and it definitely allows better grilling control and cleanup is a snap. Used the provided little scrapper that gets all the grill groves cleaned out then wiped with paper towels and turned heat on high for 5 minutes. Great grill!

Seems to be of good quality and works well. Assembly is not too bad but will take an hour or two. The two screws for the handle on the lid are awkward as they have a tendency to fall inside the double-skinned lid – but I used some tape to fasten the screws to the screwdriver (wrap it around both) and that did the trick.

This grill is awesome. Arrived quickly and box has straps around it so that it can be easily carried. Assembly ease and time was better than I expected and I had no problem putting it together myself. Once I connected the propane tank and fired it up, was surprised at how hot the grill got. Temperature gauge said 650-degrees, and that was only after a short preheat on high. In terms of size, this grill is perfect for our family of four. Had friends over this weekend, and easily fit 7 burgers, 5 brats and 4 big ears of corn on the grill. The cooking grates on this grill are really cool. There are little holes in the grates, but flames can’t come up above the grates. And every time grease drips from the food, (burgers and brats for me), it sizzles and smokes on the grill grate surface. I think this is the infrared technology and is definitely a cool feature. All in all, food was been great. Did chicken breasts and they came out really juicy. Great grill.

This is the second Char-Broil grill I have purchased. I had assemble the grill and it takes a little while but was not difficult. This is my 3rd infrared grill and I am very happy with performance of the grill. I have owned other much more expensive infrared grills and feel like this product cooks just a well as the expensive grills I owned. It is a great price!!!

This was fairly easy to assemble. I loved that the connectors were all vacuumed sealed separately. I did lose one of the set of washers attempting to attach the handle. They fell inside the lid (which has a metal liner that looked difficult to remove and pot back together). I took the remaining set of screws and washers to my local hardware store to buy a new set for about a dollar. Assembly continued and I eventually not only got the handle attached, nut found a way to recover the lost screws and washers. The instructions are very good. Once assembled (to my amazement), the grill lit perfectly (and has continued to do so). Everything else about this grill works as described. I would buy again, though I’m hoping it will last a long time. ????

We love this grill and the stainless finish. Easy to clean grates and sharp looking. Certainly cooks nice with the infrared heat! My hub loves it!
